Significant Stuff

April 5, 2010

I’ve written 4 individual sentences this morning and erased them.  Nothing bad.  Nothing controversial.  Nothing even remotely interesting, much less focused.

Taking a day off is a double edged-sword.  I’ve got to have one — even a day that was packed like yesterday — but when I turn on the work brain again, it swirls.

I am the worst Buddhist in the world.  Which is ironic, because I’m not Buddhist.  I’m not any ‘ist’ or ‘ian’.

All right.  The most significant thing I can do today is focus.  Calmly.

Oh man.  It’s not on the calendar.  It’s the only thing not on the calendar.

Update…  Out of sight is out of mind.

It helps to reduce visual clutter as long as there’s a plan for when the clutter will be addressed.  My concern is putting something in a stack and never getting to it.
