Dreams aren’t magic. They’re just hard work.

Advertisements

Time is running out.  And yet,

“Somehow, I can’t believe that there are any heights that can’t be scaled by a (wo)man who knows the secret of making dreams come true.

This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C’s.  They are:

Curiosity,

Confidence,

Courage, and

Constancy.

And the greatest of these is Confidence.

When you believe a thing, believe it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably.”

Walt Disney

This can easily be misconstrued as an “if you build it they will come” sort of fantasy, but it’s not.  I know that if you build it, insure it, market it, involve people in it, and make sure the toilet paper is stocked in it, then they might come.  That’s the reality.  But, I understand what goes into that word “build”.  I think I understand what goes into “Confidence” as well.

There is no mystic bear claw.  There is no secret.  There is no beanstalk.  There’s me.  I am all those things and the magic is hard work.  Time may be running out, but I’m giving it a run.

I’m confident.

Significantly,

Susan Scot Fry

Update…

Feeling confident certainly makes it easier to move forward.  But, it takes practice.

  1. Another fabulous Walt Disney quote for you to keep in mind: “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”

Although I think you already knew that. 😉
